Mom seems to be making some head-way with her recovery. She can get out of bed and move around a bit but is still struggling a little to get back in bed. Both therapists are pleased with her healing progress improvements. She was told that they were going to release her. So it looks like Thursday might be a target date for her to go home. This is great news, and we are hopeful that it will happen.

At home, today Wilson Homecare will start the 24/7 care for dad and Jim. Janet will be supervising the healthcare staff, and we hope that she will be able to get some rest and recover from the exhausting schedule she has had. She has been doing a fantastic job.

Because mom is not home yet, Janet has extended her time there until around the 15th. We hope that mom will be at a place where she will be able to get about and oversee the healthcare staff. However, if this doesn’t happen and she still needs help, Mary from the big island will fly in on the 14th to oversee the healthcare staff until I can get there around the 20th.

As you can see, this is a very fluid situation with a lot of moving parts. So things are subject to change, and most likely, they will change.

Nita and I are grateful for your continued prayers and keeping, dad, mom, Jim, and the healthcare staff in your hearts and thoughts.

Aloha Nui Loa,

gary & Nita
