This week mom went in for a “headbanger” what she calls it, no it isn’t a drink, it’s her brain MRI. She also had an x-ray on her to get a picture of what her lung cancer is doing. This was all in preparation for the 10 treatments that she was supposed to start the first of the month but her fall changed the schedule.
Last night she got the call from the doctor – IT WAS GREAT NEWS, Dr. Michaud was excited to tell her how pleased he was that her brain and lung cancer have not grown and he has canceled the radiation treatment. I think the meds she is taking from the London oncology clinic “off-label” treatment have been helping her.
Mom and dad were both excited and pleased to hear this news. They recognized the results are an answer to prayer. Thank you for praying for them.
Mom is still in a lot of pain from the fall and is getting around the house ok. She wants to drop the walker but her strength has not returned to the level she had before the fall. She is working on that and it is a slow process.
Dad is doing well, enjoying baseball, and his birds coming to feed.
Jim is doing ok, he saw Dr. Kim for an infection and is on antibiotics for a couple of days.
I made it back to the mainland after being at the house for 2 weeks. While I was there, a Pacific Golden Plover that comes each year from Alaska to visit dad and mom was back for another visit.
Stay Strong In The Lord & Be Blessed,
gary
